Windows 11 is getting a faster and more dependable experience, with Microsoft focusing on everyday use in the latest update. This matters if you are planning rollouts, as user facing changes to how people get things done can drive support tickets if you do not prep comms and training.
Microsoft is also pushing a new Photos app on Windows 11, aimed at how people store and share personal pictures. For business, that can mean more staff using consumer tools on work devices, so it is worth checking how this fits with your storage, backup, and data handling policies.
The Edge team is working on new ways to get security updates out faster with less disruption, including a seamless updates prototype that lets Edge update while people keep working. If this lands in your estate it could cut the number of forced restarts you have to explain, while still keeping browsers patched.
On the hardware side, Microsoft is talking up holiday PC offers and value for different user types. If your device refresh cycle lines up with this, it is a good time to revisit your standard builds and check they still match how staff actually work.
Python 3.15 now delivers a native by default experience on Windows on Arm, helped by more package maintainers publishing native Arm64 wheels. If you support dev teams or in house scripts, this makes Arm based Windows kit more realistic, but you will still want to test key packages before you commit.
