Microsoft has pushed fresh Windows 11 Insider Preview builds into the Beta, Experimental, and Release Preview channels as of 11 September 2026. If you run test rings in your estate, plan time to review the release notes and check for anything that might affect your standard image or core apps.
Alongside that, new Release Preview builds 26100.9539 and 26200.9539 are out for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2. This is a good point to align your pilot devices with the Release Preview channel so you can spot issues before these versions land in normal Windows Update.
The 24H2 and 25H2 builds in Release Preview show that Microsoft is still tuning both feature updates in parallel. If you support a mix of hardware, keep an eye on which devices are expected to move to each version so you can plan testing and user comms around that split.
The spread of new builds across Beta, Experimental, and Release Preview also hints at features being trialled at different levels of risk. If you only have time for one ring in your lab, focus on Release Preview first, then use Beta or Experimental only where you have clear rollback plans.
